The PowerEdge M620 supports either ECC RDIMM or ECC UDIMM memory. Mixing ECC RDIMM and ECC UDIMM modules is not supported. Due to limitations of the Intel C600 chipset, ECC UDIMM modules are limited to 2 Quad Channel Banks per CPU. ECC RDIMM modules come in two versions: x4 and x8 DRAM. The two modules may be installed in the same server but not within the same memory bank. Use like modules within a single memory bank.
