This iMac can be upgrade to 64GB using four 16GB modules. Memory slots are all individual, there is no performance decrease by mixing sizes. Memory can be installed singularly or in pairs, fours. Apple recommends installed in pairs or fours. Upgrading the HDD/SSD requires removal of the screen and reattaching with special adhesive. There are two type of hard drives released with this model. Non fusion drive is a standard SATA hard drive. This drive can be replace with a Crucial 2.5 inch SSD listed here. A 3.5in to 2.5in mounting bracket is required (Adaptabracket). Fusion hard drive models do have a PCIe "blade" type SSD and a SATA hard drive. This blade SSD is the same as the Macbook Pro 2013 Retina SSD. Non Fusion drive models do not have an empty PCIe "blade" SSD connector.
