This model shipped with a BIOS issue that limited the memory to 8GB. If the BIOS is upgraded to minimum 2.06 then the maximum memory is increased to 16GB. You MUST backup all essential data before performing a BIOS upgrade. You have been warned. If your notebook is beeping after a new memory upgrade, then the wrong voltage memory has been used.
