Why do I need this bracket?
It is obvious: the 2.5 inch drive is smaller than the 3.5 inch drive.
Why is this a problem? The holes in your new 2.5 inch drive do not line up with the bracket
that is holding your 3.5 inch drive in place. Without this bracket, you can only use one screw
to attached your new drive. Doing so will hold it in place but it will not be fixed properly in
your computer.
Using this bracket will secure the drive, improve reliability and remove your halitosis.
