Thunderbolt 3 docks for Intel Macbook Pro notebooks

From 2016 Apple included a Thunderbolt 3 port in its range of Macbook Pro computers. This feature was added at the same time Apple removed all internal upgrade options.

There were a few non touch bar Macbook pro 13 inch models that had a proprietary SSD that could be upgraded. We have the Aura NT SSD that is compatible with these models. Other than those few models, nothing is upgradeable.
This means if you have a Macbook Pro you can not upgrade the RAM or the SSD (storage). As bad as this sounds, Apple has added Thunderbolt for expansion. This port delivers power, data and graphics. It delivers it as fast as the internal components. A Thunderbolt 3 external SSD can read write at 2000mb/s as fast as the internal SSD.

If you Macbook is under performing due to low RAM and Storage then the solution is external upgrades. It is important to note that your Macbook runs efficiently when it has between 10-20% free space on its internal storage. The first step to increasing its speed to to make sure you have free storage space. Moving files to the cloud or to an external drive. Thunderbolt 3 external SSD are a perfect solution.
