- Memory quoted here are kits of 2. Memory must be installed in pairs. If there is an empty bank, continuity modules must be installed. A standard system shipped with one bank populated with memory and the other bank populated with continuity modules. These continuity modules must be removed and replaced with the new memory kit.
- Standard memory was non ECC. Ecc and non ECC can be installed in different banks however the ECC function is disabled. New memory upgrade is compatible with exisiting memory.. Existing memory is compatible with any new memory upgrade.

The operating system (or OS) your computer has installed also has a maximum RAM limit. The most common OS, Microsoft Windows generally ships as a 32-bit version. The downfall of a 32-bit OS is when more than 4GB of RAM is installed; the OS will read between 3.0GB to 3.6GB depending on the hardware installed in your computer. Installing memory in your computer is classified by most manufacturers as a Do It Yourself (DIY) upgrade. The Upgradeable Memory Installation Guide is included with every order which is to be used with your computers owner's manual. A PDF copy of the guide is available for download here. We provide tech support over the phone in case you require any further assistance performing the memory upgrade procedure. A majority of computers sold do not require pairs to be installed. Where computers have Dual or Triple channel technology, installing memory in pairs will see a slight improvement in performance. With some computers, pairs can be a requirement, check your system configuration details table for more information. We accept payment by either credit card (AMEX, MasterCard, VISA) or Bank Deposit. We do not charge any fees for orders paid by credit cards. For customers wishing to pay by bank deposit, the full payment instructions will be emailed to you once the order has been placed.
